description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>This layer represents the soil map unit polygons in a raster format. Raster layers tend to display much more quickly and lend themeselves to certain types of modeling with other raster layers such as landcover, landuse or elevation. Each cell value is represented by the integer version of the mapunit key. The standard character mapunit key (MUKEY) is also included so that the raster attribute table can be joined to other soil attribute tables.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
