Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>This layer is created from combined urbanized area from the 2000 U.S. Census with additions from the 2010 U.S. Census. </SPAN><SPAN>Urbanized Areas (UAs) contain 50,000 or more people, while Urban Clusters (UCs) contain between 2,500-50,000 people. EGLE removes UCs for the purposes of determining if a location can be regulated by the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer (MS4) program. This UA layer is intersected with county and minor civil division boundaries. It will be updated with the release of new urbanized areas with each decennial Census. Source: U.S. Census Bureau (2010).</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Municipalities with public facilities within this area may be required to hold an MS4, or Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems, NPDES permit to regulate their storm water discharges.
